PERIODICALS AND DATABASES
You can find additional information on a topic by researching articles in periodicals, e.g. journals,
magazines or newspapers. To find an article you will look up a specific topic in an online
database. Delaware Tech's online databases can be found on the Online Databases page.
Typically, an online database will allow you to search for your topic by typing a keyword or
phrase, e.g. economics. The results from your search will display in a list
of articles related to your topic. You will have access to the entire article online if there
is a "Full Text" icon. If you find an article using an online database, keep in mind
that these are actual periodical articles, not web sites.
If an article you want is not available in hardcopy format in the library or full-text online, consult
with the librarian about requesting it via interlibrary loan.
The online databases listed below may be used to locate articles on or related to economics.
Use subject headings such as those used in searching the library catalog to locate articles on
economics in these databases.
